Ultralight thanks to the carbon rail and Eva padding.
More carbon, more lightness. Quasar CR 2.0 is the ultralight version of the 142 mm saddle that has received so much acclaim so far.
The difference from the basic model is the rail: in the CR 2.0 version it is entirely made of UD T700 carbon. Thanks to this substantial modification and the super light Eva padding, the overall weight drops to just 129 grams. Quasar CR therefore rightfully enters the list of the lightest padded saddles in the world.
Carbon is also present in the shell in the form of long fibers (LCF technology), which further reinforce the PA12 structure.
FEATURES
Since its debut, Quasar has been chosen by many road and off-road cyclists, both male and female. Among them are also competitive riders and professional athletes. Its CR 2.0 evolution is now able to satisfy even the most demanding cyclists, at a price that, at these quality standards, finds no equal on the market.
Saddle details
The saddle dimensions are 260 mm x 142 mm.
The 260 mm “Smart” length represents an ideal compromise to ensure the cyclist the necessary freedom of movement and, at the same time, highly effective support during the power phase. In line with the most common construction standards, the rail section of Quasar CR 2.0 is 7x9 mm.
The seat is “flat”-inspired. The saddle is equipped with a wide central opening for pressure relief in the perineal area. The wide rear support surface has been shaped according to the anatomical and ergonomic criteria dictated by the exclusive Repente Close fit, the special design that makes the seat comfortable without the use of thick layers of padding.
The padding is made of super-light EVA.
The water-based PU microfiber cover has a non-slip effect: it allows the rider to easily maintain the most effective pedaling position, without however hindering the necessary movements on the saddle.
The shape of the front, tapered at the tip, has been designed to allow an easy transition from the seated position to the sprinting position, and vice versa.
Quasar CR 2.0 is entirely made in Italy.
