The new generation of PZERO Race TLR is the most performing tire in our portfolio as well as being the first tire with a tubeless technology entirely made in Italy . The introduction of the new SPEEDCORE technology in the 120tpi casing, features the use of a layer of compound mixed with aramid which covers the inner layer of the tire, improving either the smoothness and the resistance of the rubber. Result: a less stiff but faster tire. The compound, on the other hand, maintains the same advanced SmartEVO technology, shared with the other high-performance tires in the PZERO range.

What's the secret to our tyres? Let's take a look at some of the motorsport-derived technologies applied to our cycling tyres.
COMPOUND: SmartEVO Compound
So far the most advanced racing chemical formulation for road use, it was born from the Motorsport experience of Pirelli and the collaboration with the factory World Tour teams. The new SmartEVO Compound features a single-compound formulation based on three different polymers, each of which provides opposite performances in a perfec blend. The advanced mixture of polymers with 'smart' behaviors are the key elements of the SmartEVO Compound, providing better grip and rolling resistance in any weather condition. The SmartEVO Compound is an high-performance chemical formulation developed for modern road cycling, from everyday training to World Tour racing. SmartEVO Compound is an exclusive feature of the P ZERO™ range.
STRUCTURE: SpeedCORE
The highest-performing tubeless-ready road casing in our range, with a unique design that adds an aramid band within the tyre’s rubber layer. This new structure adds strength and support to the tyre casing but retains a supple feel for minimal rolling resistance and maximum grip, compared to a tyre with a full bead-to-bead aramid construction. The tyre also features a 120tpi nylon casing for added puncture protection and maximum security.
