Our engineers performed numerous iterations, comparisons, and validations, including wind tunnel testing in Geneva, to optimize every element of the wheel's profile. The Mavic COMETE 50 carbon wheel transforms power into instant acceleration thanks to its high-precision carbon fiber construction.
Our specific Adaptive Layup construction, combining different fibers (T700, T1000, 3K), offers an ideal balance of stiffness, handling, and dynamic performance. The lightweight, flat carbon spokes transmit every watt without loss, enhancing the wheel's racing character.
Internal testing demonstrates that the 21-spoke configuration per wheel—14 crossed doubles to transmit torque and 7 radials to balance the weight on each side—offers the best stiffness/aerodynamics/weight ratio for precise handling and perfect tension balance, further improving steering accuracy.
