The Merida NINETY-SIX 6000 represents the evolution of World Cup-proven XC and Marathon bikes. This bike is designed for those who want to tackle trails at full throttle, both uphill and downhill, maintaining high performance all day long. The NINETY-SIX 6000 is the trail-oriented version of the NINETY-SIX family. It combines a longer-travel 120mm RockShox SID fork with the stiff and efficient 100mm rear travel. This setup offers the perfect balance between climbing efficiency and technical descending capability. Frame and Technologies The heart of the NINETY-SIX 6000 is the CF4 carbon fiber frame featuring P-FLEX technology. This innovative system leverages material compliance and specific tube shaping to allow the frame to flex near the seatstay and chainstay junction, making a traditional pivot point obsolete. The result is weight savings and increased overall stiffness. The frame benefits from NANO MATRIX CARBON technology, where carbon fibers are bonded with an epoxy resin enriched with nanoparticles, increasing impact resistance by up to 40%. The AWS (Advanced Wing System) construction uses inflatable bladders during production to ensure no wrinkles inside the tubes, resulting in a lighter, stiffer, and stronger frame.
