Sapim, over a century of spokes

From its Antwerp base, Sapim developed its own drawing and cold forging technologies that make its spokes light, elastic and highly fatigue resistant. The bladed CX-Ray has become a benchmark for high performance wheels, while butted models offer the right balance of weight and strength for every use.

Which spoke to choose

In spokes and nipples you will find bladed CX-Ray and CX-Sprint for race wheels, double butted Race and Laser for road and cross country, Strong and Leader for e-bikes, enduro, touring and heavy loads. Pair them with brass nipples for maximum durability or aluminium to save weight.

How do I calculate spoke length?

You need the rim ERD, hub flange diameter and centre to flange distances, plus the lacing pattern. Send us your rim and hub models and we can help with the calculation.

Brass or aluminium nipples?

Brass resists corrosion and high tension better, aluminium is lighter and suits well maintained race wheels.
