Salewa, the mountains as a way of life

Born in Munich in the Thirties and now based in Bolzano, Salewa develops apparel, footwear and gear for active mountain lovers, from speed hiking to mountaineering. Its technologies include Powertex, Durastretch fabrics and natural Tirolwool insulation, made from South Tyrolean sheep wool.

Apparel

For a full layering system choose Pedroc and Puez Dry tops, Puez and Nuvolo Polarlite fleeces, Catinaccio Tirolwool softshells and Ortles and Marmolada Powertex hardshells. Agner and Puez Durastretch trousers are comfortable and tough on trail and rock.

Backpacks, sleeping bags and shoes

Alptrek and Puez backpacks suit day hikes and multi-day treks. For bivouacs there are Diadem and Puez Primaloft sleeping bags with compression sacks, while Alp Trainer 2 shoes are a trekking classic. Finish with beanies and neck gaiters.
