The Big.Nine XT represents excellence in the Merida hardtail range, combining a high-performance CF3 carbon frame with superior quality Shimano XT components. This mountain bike was designed to compete at the highest levels in XC and marathon disciplines, offering a perfect balance between lightweight, stiffness and control. Frame and Technologies The Big.Nine CF3 carbon frame uses Nano Matrix Carbon technology, which increases impact resistance by up to 40% thanks to the addition of nanoparticles to the epoxy resin. The AWS (Air Wedge System) ensures there are no wrinkles inside the tubes during production, resulting in a lighter, stiffer and stronger frame. Flex-Stay technology is integrated into the chainstays and seatstays: the profile and carbon lay-up are optimized to work as a flat leaf spring, absorbing vibrations and surface impacts for superior comfort without compromising pedaling efficiency.
