The Merida Big.Nine 9000 (MY24) is designed to win. Thanks to its top-tier CF5 carbon frame, it offers an exceptional stiffness-to-weight ratio. The modern geometry, featuring a slacker head angle and a more vertical seat tube, ensures downhill stability and incredible uphill traction. It is the ideal choice for Cross Country racers who refuse to compromise.

Frameset: Material: CF5 III Carbon. This is Merida's most premium carbon fiber, utilizing special resins (Nano Matrix Carbon) to increase impact resistance by 40% while maintaining an extremely low weight. Geometry: The third generation (III) of the Big.Nine features a slacker head angle (approx. 68°) for greater stability on technical descents and a steeper seat tube angle (75.3°) to optimize power delivery during climbs. Technical Details: Wire Port internal cable routing system, Boost 148x12mm thru-axle for maximum torsional stiffness, and Flex Stay technology in the rear stays to absorb micro-vibrations. Suspension (Fork): Model: Fox Factory 32 Float SC (Step-Cast). Features: The lightest fork in the Fox lineup, featuring 32mm stanchions and the signature gold Kashima Coat for maximum smoothness. Control: FIT4 cartridge with a 2-position remote handlebar lever (Open/Lockout), essential for switching instantly from active suspension to a rigid setup during sprints. Drivetrain: Groupset: Shimano XTR M9100 12-speed. This represents the pinnacle of Shimano’s range for precision and weight savings. Crankset: Shimano XTR, engineered to transfer maximum power with minimal flex. Cassette: Shimano XTR 10-51T, offering a 510% gear range to tackle the steepest ramps and fast flat sections. Wheels and Tires: Rims: DT Swiss XRC 1200 Spline 25. An ultralight carbon wheelset specifically designed for professional XC racing. Hubs: DT Swiss featuring the Ratchet EXP system for near-instant pedal engagement. Tires: Maxxis Rekon Race 29x2.4" WT. The increased volume (Wide Trail) allows for lower tire pressures, enhancing grip and comfort without sacrificing rolling efficiency. Braking System: Brakes: Shimano XTR; hydraulic disc brakes featuring carbon fiber levers and magnesium calipers to keep weight to an absolute minimum without sacrificing stopping power.
