The Merida Crossway XT-Edition represents excellence in the trekking bike category, designed to deliver superior performance in both daily urban commuting and adventures on gravel roads and forest trails. This 700c bicycle equipped with Shimano XT components is the ideal companion for those seeking reliability, comfort, and versatility. Frame and Design The CROSSWAY TFS III frame is made from lightweight high-quality aluminum with Racelite 61 technology, ensuring an excellent combination of lightness and stiffness. The comfort geometry is designed to provide an upright riding position that allows you to admire the surroundings without straining your back. The X-Taper head tube allows for tapered fork installation for greater rigidity and steering precision. Suspension and Comfort The SR Suntour NCX-E RL Air fork offers 63mm of travel with air system and remote lockout. This solution ensures optimal comfort on rough roads and off-road terrain, with the ability to lock the suspension when pedaling on asphalt to maximize efficiency. The 700c wheels with 40mm Maxxis Overdrive II tires offer puncture protection, excellent grip, and additional comfort thanks to the extra volume. Drivetrain and Brakes The heart of the bike is the Shimano XT drivetrain, known for its exceptional smoothness and longevity. The triple Shimano XT 48-36-26 tooth crankset combined with the Shimano HG500 11-34 tooth 10-speed cassette offers a wide gear range to tackle any terrain. The Shimano MT-500 hydraulic disc brakes with 160mm rotors guarantee reliable and modulatable braking power in all weather conditions. Versatility and Accessories The Crossway XT-Edition is designed for maximum versatility with multiple mounting points for fenders (F-Mount), rear rack (C-Mount), and kickstand (K-Mount). This makes it perfect not only for daily use but also for bikepacking and long-distance touring. The Merida Expert TK saddle includes an integrated mini tool for minor repairs on the go.
